Romance is always in the air with Angela and Gus.
They're star-crossed lovers. Soul mates.
They sway to musicians old (Sinatra) and new (John Legend), and love the drama of the Opera.
When we were asked to create a sweet table display that resembled this couple, drama and class were our key words of inspiration.
Drama: that backdrop. Class: garden roses, love notes, and lace details tied the whole look together.
Oggi, domain e per sempre.
In English: today, tomorrow and forever.
Words to live by.

three different languages and
three different places.
Many thanks to our families and friends for their generous expressions of love and happiness.
Also to Pusateri's Floral
for the fabulous arrangements and displays; The Rolling Pin
for making our gorgeous custom cake trio inspiration a sweet reality;
and, of course, to the Ecstatic Photography*
team who captured the essence of this day for us in an honest way.
A sweet beginning, indeed.
featured this bold style shoot inspired by Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti's decorative tableware, that we designed with style and whimsy in mind. To compliment the black and white palette, we went with sunny florals and gold touches throughout, evoking elements from the Art Deco era. A stunning suspended floral, made completely with forsythia branches, gold foil in all the printed material, and custom-wrapped books used to display individual cakes at each setting, came together to create a rich, unique tablescape.
What a great collaboration with all involved!

SweetEnsemble teamed up with Pusateri's to develop a delicious brunch menu (holy lobster sandwich bites!) and design the spaces the buffet would be served from. We decided to go with a baking theme, which meant collecting numerous items in which to display things from, like the scale for the biscotti and bundt cake pans for bright florals to give everyone a little morning jolt!
